List of Idioms

"Mark my words"

We have "more bang for your buck"

Reading a list of idioms can be fascinating.

You know the ones I mean.

They are not "famous last words" or "the whole ball of wax " of any marketing plan.

They could just be the "window dressing " in you ad, but never the "whole nine yards". You won't use them "with a heavy hand" and you certainly don't want to "wipe the smile off of someone's face".

No. our idioms won't send you on a "wild goose chase" because if they did, "with friends like that, who needs enemies"?

Idioms are sometimes called a figure of speech. It is an expression, a word or a phrase that has a completely different meaning than that of the literal meaning of the words.

If you are "worth your salt" you can use idioms in marketing copy. They can " work like a charm" in making you more approachable and a part of demographic you are trying to reach.

Idioms can help you "knock the socks off" of your prospect as you "work like a dog", "work your fingers to the bone" and "work your tail off" to meet their needs.

So, "read the writing on the wall" and "step up to the plate" in using words your prospects can "sink their teeth into".

Remember..."there is more than meets the eye'.

Here are a couple of dozen or so you "can chew on".

It's "worth a shot" right?
