Free Marketing Plan Template

Find your Niche and Dominate it. (page 2)

This free marketing plan template is page 2 of our sample business marketing plan. It is short and to the point yet focused on bringing paying customers into your business. The first two points were:

1.Creating your marketing goal

... the action you wanted your customer to do whether it be going to your website or picking up the phone and call you.

2.Your unique selling position

... what makes you different from your competitors. why should they call you rather than one of the many other businesses clamoring for their attention?

Continuing on...

3. Who are your customers?

In sport of archery, intense concentration on the bullseye is essential. All peripheral distractions are ignored and eliminated.

The archer isn't blindfolded and he is not just pointing in the right direction. He is lazered in to the target.

Your customers are the "bullseye" of your business.

Focus your creativity, customer service and attention on them. Their needs, wants, frustrations and dreams.

Who really needs or wants your product?

Precisely targeted customers will buy much more than a vague general audience.

One famous marketer said he could outsell anyone else if he was allowed one wish. All he wanted... was a hungry market for his product.

Most of your efforts should be finding and aiming at your "hungry market".

  • Are they baby boomers or are they just starting their family? Both groups hang out in different areas and are interested in different things.

  • Are you talking to men or is your marketing aimed at women?

  • What motivates them?

  • What is their ethnic background?

  • What are their concerns?

  • What scares them?

  • What frustrates them?

Are you getting an understanding of who your customer is?

    Good.

Go where they go. Write articles where they read. Place signs where they drive.

    Be where they are.

The next page of our free marketing plan template will define how you will do that. Theory and planning is fine but page 3 of our free marketing plans will give you the tools for your task.
