Advertising Taglines

"How to stay in your customers mind... "

What are advertising taglines and why should you care?

I am glad you asked.

There is a critical window of time when you first meet a potential customer that will influence your future with them. Their perception of you is influenced by:

  1. your appearance and attitude
  2. the words you say
  3. the business card you leave with them.
Three simple things, but they have a major impact on the prospect's bias towards you in future encounters.

Advertising taglines are very short phrases used to create a positive memory hooks between you and your potential customers.

Let’s say you are attending a Chamber of Commerce networking event. You are introducing yourself and you say to the group “ Hello, I’m Jerry Volso and I own Number One Plumbing. I’m proud to say we are number 1 in the number 2 business.”

You hear the chuckles, you see the smiles, the first step has gone well. You have made a connection and left him with your business card (that has your tagline on it).

Next week Frank Keeily (who was present for your presentation) is hearing a customer complain about sewer line problems. You should call Number One Plumbing he says. I ‘m told they are number 1 in the number 2 business.

"SUCCESS!"

Using simple words and the images and ideas they create...your company’s service or product can linger in peoples mind.

Advertising tag lines are used by the largest of companies.
